Located on the border of Chilly-Mazarin and Longjumeau, the station's transport hub plays an important role in regional travel. Currently, the space is mainly occupied by parking and offers few amenities for pedestrians, rest areas, and cycling. Crossing the RD118 also poses a safety challenge.
To meet these needs, the Paris-Saclay Urban Community is undertaking a redevelopment project aimed at facilitating connections between different modes of transport and improving the living environment around the station. The project includes the creation of a bus station with eight bays, improved user comfort and safety with pedestrian facilities and a drop-off point, the creation of a green public square, and the reorganization of parking with a multi-story car park.
These orientations form an indicative master plan, subject to change during the studies. The consultation aims to gather opinions, needs, and proposals from residents and users to inform the next design stages. It is an opportunity to share your travel habits and expectations.
Contributions can be submitted by email to concertation@paris-saclay.com or on paper at the Cité administrative de Chilly-Mazarin or the headquarters of the Paris-Saclay Urban Community. The project presentation document is available online.
The Paris-Saclay Urban Community is managing the project, with funding from the Agglomeration, the City of Chilly-Mazarin, Île-de-France Mobilités, and the Departmental Council of Essonne.
