The 2026 edition of the Foulée Chiroquoise stood out with a morning combining sport and solidarity for Pink October. The event began with remarks from Dr Durand, president of the Essonne committee of the League Against Cancer, highlighting the importance of prevention.
The Boucles Roses (Pink Loops) then brought together over 200 runners, followed by races for the town's schoolchildren, from kindergarten to 6th grade, and a family race. Participants could engage at their own pace, running or walking, sharing a convivial moment.
Concurrently, the Village Rose (Pink Village) hosted several associations offering information, prevention stands, and activities focused on the fight against breast cancer.
The morning concluded with medal ceremonies led by the town's elected officials. On the podium, Madame la Maire (The Mayor) and council members awarded prizes to the top three girls and boys in the race for the Les Dînes-Chiens middle school. Each participating school also received a gift card for sports equipment.
The success of this edition is attributed to the participants, associations, partners like Opticien 2000, teachers, sports clubs such as VCBS, Twirling bâton, Kraken Boxing Club, Move And Go, Pass’Jeunes Citoyens, Kifékoi, and the municipal staff who contributed to the event.
