The intercommunal Léonard Bernstein Conservatory in Draveil will inaugurate its new premises on November 7, located in the former Maison Brandt, providing improved learning conditions for 500 students.

Within the walls of the former Maison Brandt, a new space dedicated to artistic creation comes to life. The Léonard Bernstein Conservatory will offer students from the region learning and practice conditions worthy of their ambitions starting in November.
In Draveil, 500 students will soon benefit from a completely renovated and expanded conservatory. With 900 m² dedicated to music, dance, and theater, this investment of €8.8 million excluding tax, partly financed by the Department, offers new possibilities for tomorrow's artists.
Housed in the Maison Brandt, an elegant 19th-century residence, it now combines the charm of heritage with modern facilities adapted to various artistic practices. Students and their teachers will notably have a modular theater hall, a green theater, and a large rehearsal room.
The latter will accommodate auditions, as well as rehearsals for large ensembles (harmony and string ensembles, contemporary music, and jazz workshop...) before they simply cross Rue de Villiers to perform on the stage of the Théâtre Donald Cardwell.
To accommodate these new spaces, the historic building has been entirely rehabilitated and connected to a semi-buried extension by a monumental staircase. Ceramic decorations, restored basins, and period staircases now coexist with large glass facades and spaces opening onto the park. A new facility to learn, practice, and share artistic passion, at the heart of our territory.
On Monday, November 19, the installation of the first large instruments took place with the setup of pianos and percussion, aided by a crane.
