The municipality of Forges-les-Bains is hosting the 2026 Science Festival, offering fun and accessible scientific activities for everyone, centered on the theme of taste and food.
Two events are organized at the Escapade culturelle. The exhibition “La science a du goût” (Science Has Taste), on loan from INSERM, will run from October 6 to 30, 2026, at 38 rue de Vaux. It explores the mechanisms behind our taste sensations and the role of our senses in our food experience, in conjunction with the Semaine du goût (Week of Taste).
Exhibition opening hours are: Tuesdays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM, Fridays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. During school holidays, the exhibition will be open Mondays to Fridays from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
A workshop titled “Saveurs savantes” (Savvy Flavors) is offered on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Escapade culturelle. This free workshop, with a limit of 15 places, is for children and their parents. It aims to experiment and test senses to understand the scientific phenomena behind flavors.
