On October 15, 2026, École Polytechnique celebrated Erasmus Days, emphasizing international mobility and opportunities for academic, scientific, and administrative exchanges.

As part of the 10th edition of Erasmus Days, focused on skills for the European future, École Polytechnique organized a day dedicated to promoting international mobility. The event, managed by the International Relations Department of X, brought together the university community to discuss academic and scientific exchanges abroad.
Several stands showcased the numerous international mobility opportunities for students, teachers, and staff at X, as well as available Erasmus+ grants. Tools like Europass, the Erasmus+app, and the European student card were also presented.
A platform for mentoring students in Europe, the Buddy System initiated by Erasmus Student Network, was featured. The event also highlighted joint initiatives and mobility possibilities within European partner universities as part of the European university EuroTeQ, of which X is a founding institution.
The annual Erasmus Days event celebrates Europe, its values, the priorities of the Erasmus+ program, and the international mobility opportunities supported by the program, the European Union's flagship initiative for education, training, youth, and sport.
École Polytechnique strongly encourages its students to undertake an academic experience abroad, whether in the engineering cycle, the Bachelor of Science program, the twelve Master of Science & Technology (MSc&T) programs, or doctoral studies. Each degree program includes at least a period of several months that can be spent abroad, and polytechnician engineers are required to complete a mandatory internship or study period abroad during their curriculum.
In 2025, 110 individuals received Erasmus+ financial support for their mobility projects, including both students and staff. The objective for the coming year is to further encourage mobility within Europe, through the European university EuroteQ and in collaboration with other European partners. Opportunities for international mobility are also available for teacher-researchers (teaching or training abroad) and staff, who can benefit from observation internships or training mobility such as staff weeks.
The event also serves to underscore the principles promoted by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program: inclusion and diversity, environmental protection, commitment to democratic debate, civic engagement, and digital transformation.
Mobility grants are prioritized for students from all programs meeting Erasmus+ inclusion criteria. To encourage the choice of eco-responsible transport methods such as train, bicycle, or carpooling, the Erasmus+ program offers additional grants if these means are used. More than half of X students chose eco-responsible transport in 2025, with a progression expected in 2026, where already over 68% of users have opted for sustainable transport.
Demonstrating the civic engagement of X students, nine of them are benefiting from Erasmus+ mobility grants as part of their first-year human and military training internship in French institutions and high schools in Europe in 2026.
A photo contest was proposed to students who participated in mobility with the support of the Erasmus+ program. Through images displayed on campus, students shared their experiences and memories with the entire School.
