Following the violence that resulted in broken windows, looted stores, and damage to public buildings in many cities, the network of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has expressed its deep indignation and strongly condemns these acts.

The acts of vandalism, which severely impacted businesses, also affected companies already weakened by years of successive crises, rising costs, and declining foot traffic in city centers. For many of them, this damage could be the final blow.
The CCI network commends the commitment of law enforcement and emergency services, mobilized to protect populations and businesses at the risk of their own safety. 'Our shopkeepers are present every day to keep our cities alive, and it is they who the vandals have targeted. This is unacceptable. The CCIs stand with public authorities and shopkeepers, today to face the situation, tomorrow to rebuild,' states Alain Di Crescenzo, President of CCI France.
Since yesterday, the CCI network has been fully mobilized across all affected territories to identify affected businesses and shops, assess material damage and business losses, establish psychological support units, and assist with procedures involving insurers and authorities.
The CCI network will contribute to securing the resumption of business activities and will relay needs requiring public intervention. It will promptly report the needs of affected businesses to the Government and will work alongside them to ensure that emergency responses are swift, concrete, and close to the ground.
