The Yvette Syndicate (SIAHVY) is organizing a public conference titled « Adaptation and resilience, a challenge for tomorrow ». The event will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 8 PM to 10 PM, at the Salle de la Terrasse in Gif-sur-Yvette.
This conference aims to inform participants about the territory's vulnerability and ways to strengthen its resilience. It will bring together scientists, elected officials, prevention and rescue actors, as well as residents, thus fostering a collective approach.
The evening will be structured around two round tables. Speakers will share their analyses, experiences, and solutions to face current and future challenges. Each session will conclude with public discussion, encouraging collective reflection on preparing for the future.
Frédéric Theulé, Doctor in urban history and specialist in territorial planning public policies, will host the conference. A detailed program will be announced later.
The round tables will respectively address: « Understanding and anticipating risk at the watershed scale » and « Reducing vulnerability to better navigate crises ».
