This summer, the municipality of Linas experienced severe heatwaves and drought. If your home shows damage or cracks related to clay shrinkage and swelling (RGA), the town hall outlines the necessary steps.
The first mandatory step is to declare your damages to your home insurance company. Contact your insurer to report the appearance or worsening of the damage.
Residents are also asked to register with the Town Hall services before December 31, 2026. This will allow for direct contact once the State's decision is published. You can register by email at juridique@linas.fr, by mail, or by dropping off information at Mairie de Linas – Service Juridique, Place Ernest Pillon – 91310 Linas. Do not hesitate to also report any cracks that appear later.
Information to include in your message: your full name, contact details (phone, email), the address of the property concerned, and a brief description of the observed damage (with photos if possible, which will also be useful for your insurance claim).
The City of Linas is preparing and submitting its recognition request through the national application iCatNat. The review by the interministerial commission is based on global geotechnical and meteorological analyses of the municipality. As soon as the ministerial decree is published in the Official Journal, the Town Hall will immediately inform all registered residents.
