By a letter dated August 21, 2026, the City of Montlhéry informed Mr. Grégoire de Lasteyrie, President of the Paris-Saclay Agglomeration Community, of its decision to oppose the transfer of all special police powers from the mayor to the president of the inter-municipal body.
This opposition is based on articles L. 2212-1, L. 2212-2, and L. 5211-9-2 of the General Code of Territorial Collectivities. Following this notification, the special police powers remain exercised by the mayor of Montlhéry, thus ensuring the continuation of these competencies within the communal territory.
The decision, officially notified, was also copied to Mr. the Sub-Prefect of Palaiseau. The City of Montlhéry thus confirms the exercise of its police powers within the framework of current legislation.
