Young elected officials from the Youth Municipal Council (CMJ) of Saintry-sur-Seine visited the Senate, the upper house's seat, at the Palais du Luxembourg in Paris.

Accompanied by municipal elected officials, the young residents of Saintry were welcomed by Laure Darcos, Senator for the Essonne department, for an immersion into the heart of republican institutions.
This visit provided the young officials with the opportunity to discover an emblematic site of the French Republic and to better understand the role of the Senate in law-making and the representation of local authorities.
This experience is considered particularly enriching for these young people who are already involved in their commune's democratic life through the CMJ. It aims to raise awareness among new generations about public engagement and republican values.
