The Town of Fontenay-aux-Roses will participate on November 19 in DuoDay, a national initiative aimed at fostering the inclusion of people with disabilities in the professional world.

Once again this year, the Town of Fontenay-aux-Roses is joining the DuoDay initiative. This national day allows a person with a disability to discover a profession alongside a volunteer professional. The town hall will thus welcome [X] individuals for a day of immersion and meeting within its services.
The principle of DuoDay is simple: a company, a local authority, or an association hosts, for a day, a person with a disability, paired with a volunteer professional. The program includes: job discovery, active participation, and immersion within a team. This day, organized as part of the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEEPH), aims to overcome prejudices.
As a public employer, the Town of Fontenay-aux-Roses wishes to promote values of inclusion and equal opportunities. Participating in DuoDay opens its services to those who wish to discover local public service professions, from town hall reception to social action, including culture, public space maintenance, or early childhood education. It is also an opportunity for employees to share their expertise and change perceptions of disability within teams.
This initiative will also allow teams to reflect on the accessibility of workstations, tools, and premises. For this new edition, [X] individuals will work within the [X] services and share the daily life of a municipal agent for a day. It is a concrete way to promote inclusion and show that diversity is a strength for the professional world.
