Contemporary art is succeeding industry on Île Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt with the opening of Large, a new 5,000 m² art center designed by RCR Arquitectes.

Where the Renault assembly lines once echoed, contemporary art now finds a new home. After La Seine Musicale, Large enriches the cultural landscape of Île Seguin. This art center, supported by Groupe Emerige, was designed by Catalan architects RCR Arquitectes, winners of the Pritzker Prize 2017, in association with the French agency CALQ. Its metallic facades, monumental volumes, and play of light create a unique architecture, open to the Seine and the hills of Meudon.
More than just an art center, Large also aims to be a place for living and meeting. It includes a bookstore, a café with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Seine, and a free workshop for children aged 6 to 10, inviting visitors to extend their stay. Access to exhibitions is also free for those under 26.
This new cultural destination is thus offered to the inhabitants of western Paris. For the residents of Sèvres, there is no need to travel far to 'take the Large'.
Large is located at 3, parvis Amont, Île Seguin, in Boulogne-Billancourt. Access is via Tramway T2, Brimborion stop, followed by a 5-minute walk. More information is available at www.large-emerige.fr.
