The Public Territorial Establishment Paris Ouest La Défense (POLD), in collaboration with the City of Nanterre, is launching a prior consultation on the development project for the Sadi Carnot sector. This consultation, running from Friday, October 16 to Thursday, December 3, 2026, invites residents to share their views on the future of this neighborhood.

The project aims to manage the significant changes expected in the Sadi Carnot district, located between Avenue Georges Clémenceau and Avenue Joliot Curie. The arrival of Line 15 of the Grand Paris Express at Nanterre-La Boule and the extension of Tramway T1 by 2031-2032 will transform this area, currently characterized by a mix of housing, shops, economic activities, offices, and public facilities.
Initial orientations considered by the City include improving degraded areas, offering diverse and accessible housing, increasing green spaces and trees, creating new public green areas, enhancing streets and public spaces, and promoting walking and cycling. A major objective is the creation of a new public green space on the site of the current land adjacent to the Joliot Curie high school.
The consultation, open to all residents, users, associations, and businesses, will take place from Friday, October 16 to Thursday, December 3, 2026. Contributions can be submitted online at participez.nanterre.fr. A project file will also be available for consultation by appointment at the Urban Planning and Development Department of the Nanterre City Hall.
A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 12 at 7 PM at the Joliot Curie school, located at 15 rue de la côte des amandiers, to present the project and gather opinions. The consultation dossier details the district's characteristics, challenges, ongoing reflections, and initial development ideas.
Following the consultation, a report will be compiled and made public, presenting the public's opinions and proposals, as well as the lessons learned for the project's continuation.
