The renaturation works on Île Demoiselle, located in the municipality of Annet-sur-Marne, will begin on October 5th. These operations will be carried out by the company Arbéo, initiated by the SAFER Île-de-France, in partnership with the EPFIF and the municipality of Annet-sur-Marne.
The primary objective is to recreate open and wet environments conducive to the development of local biodiversity. During October, approximately sixty trees will be felled to open up certain areas of the site. However, about ten remarkable trees, identified by ecologists for their age or ecological significance, will be preserved.
New tree plantations are also planned as part of this project. Starting in November, earthworks will include the creation of a pond and temporary depressions designed to accommodate species characteristic of wetland environments.
These developments, which will continue until approximately March 2027, will transform Île Demoiselle into a space more favorable to biodiversity and natural habitats.
