The humanitarian organization, recognized as being of public utility, the French Red Cross, is conducting an awareness campaign in the town of Champs-sur-Marne. This initiative will take place from Monday to Saturday, during the day and until 9 PM, from October 5 to 31, 2026.
Teams mandated for this campaign will be clearly identifiable by a badge and a specific uniform in the association's colors. It is reminded that no direct cash or check donations will be solicited as part of this campaign. The approach aims to raise residents' awareness of the French Red Cross's missions and to seek regular support.
The French Red Cross urges vigilance against fake solicitors. Residents may encounter individuals who present themselves at their homes under false pretenses or impersonate a professional or public service agent.
Recommended precautions include: asking for a professional card or identification before opening the door or letting someone in, not sharing personal information, not allowing strangers to move freely within the home, and in case of doubt, not signing anything or paying any money.
In case of suspicious behavior, insistence, or threats, it is advised to contact Police-Secours at 17 or 112.
