The Coulommiers Fair, the second-largest agricultural fair in Île-de-France, attracts thousands of visitors each spring. Under the large Terroir marquee, over 200 exhibitors, more than 80% of whom are artisan producers, will showcase cheeses, wines, cured meats, and other regional specialties.
Professional competitions will award the best products, including Brie de Coulommiers, wines, and champagnes, as well as cattle and sheep competitions. A new addition this year is a competition for butcher lambs.
The Agricultural space will allow visitors to meet breeders and observe cows and lambs up close. It will also be possible to purchase freshly pasteurized milk collected on-site.
Numerous activities are planned over the four days: competitions for Brie de Coulommiers, dairy products, and sheep; a wine competition organized by the Confrérie des Coteaux Briards; and a mini-farm with 50 animals.
Two evening shows will liven up the fair. On Friday, March 19 at 9 PM, Marion Mezadorian will present her show “Craquage” at La Sucrerie (€10-€15, booking via the Tourist Office). On Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 PM, a dinner dance at La Sucrerie will pay tribute to Jean-Jacques Goldman, followed by a show by the Grand Orchestre Tony Bram’s (€65 per person, mandatory booking).
Other activities include a funfair and culinary workshops focused on cheese offered by Coulommiers Pays de Brie Tourisme.
The fair will be open on Friday from 9:30 AM to 9 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 8 PM, and Monday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Additional parking will be available, and shuttle buses will connect the Hippolyte Rémy college bus station and the technical services parking to La Sucrerie.
