The cycle path south of Melun station, along Avenue du Général Leclerc, has reopened after a complete renovation to improve cyclist safety and comfort.

Cyclists can once again travel south of Melun station thanks to the reopening of the cycle path along Avenue du Général Leclerc. Over approximately 250 meters, the route has been entirely redeveloped to provide users with safer and more comfortable conditions for crossing the station hub.
The improvements aim to enhance safety and traffic flow, while offering a better user experience. These include the refurbishment of the cycle path and ground markings, the separation of the path from road traffic by installing barriers, and the installation of bicycle parking racks.
This bidirectional cycle path will partly use the underground tunnel connecting Rue Barchou to Place de l’Ermitage. This tunnel will be rehabilitated in the coming months to be exclusively reserved for bicycles.
