As part of the National Resilience Day, celebrated on October 13, the Prefecture of Seine-et-Marne is implementing an alert and awareness exercise for the « FR-Alert » system. Residents of Moissy-Cramayel are particularly concerned, as part of the municipality lies within the security perimeter of the Air Liquide France Industrie (ALFI) site, classified as « Seveso high threshold ».
The exercise will involve sending a fictional message via the FR-Alert system to mobile phones within the Seveso perimeter. This message, to be sent on Tuesday, October 13, between 9 AM and 10 AM, will explicitly state « EXERCICE » (EXERCISE). It will not require any action from the residents who receive it.
The broadcast will be intentionally extended beyond the strict perimeter to enhance prevention. The ALFI Seveso perimeter covers an area of 1,350 meters around the industrial site located on Avenue Henri Poincarré in Moissy-Cramayel.
This initiative is part of the Government's effort to foster a « culture of risk and resilience ». The objective is to familiarize everyone with major risks, appropriate protective behaviors, and alert procedures in case of a serious event.
FR-Alert is a message-based alert system designed to warn populations exposed to major risks and provide guidance on protective measures.
