In response to recurring power outages, Enedis has begun undergrounding the electrical network on Chemin de la Herse and de la Tour in Montigny-sur-Loing, progressively replacing the overhead network with an underground system.

Due to frequent power outages caused by bad weather, Enedis has initiated undergrounding works for the electrical network on Chemin de la Herse and de la Tour in Montigny-sur-Loing. The objective is to replace the existing overhead network with an underground system, extending from the Route de Grez to individual meters, which will also be raised.
The project involves several key stages. This Friday, October 30th, will mark the finalization of electrical connection repairs. Subsequently, a power outage on the affected overhead network will occur between October 30th and November 6th, allowing for the removal of these lines before November 10th.
The dismantling of the 20,000-volt high-voltage lines crossing the plain is scheduled for Spring 2027. This delay is due to the current inaccessibility of the terrain to lifting trucks because of ground moisture, making intervention on these lines potentially unsafe until conditions improve.
It should be noted that these high-voltage lines are already de-energized, thus eliminating any electrical risk in case of falling trees or other incidents.
