The sacred flame, a symbol of remembrance for the unknown soldier, passed through Quincy-Voisins on Friday, October 30, 2026, with a stop at the War Memorial during a ceremony.

Each year, the flame from the tomb of the unknown soldier travels across France by foot relay, starting from Paris under the Arc de Triomphe to Verdun, where it is placed on November 1st and burns until November 11th. This 360 km journey, organized by the "Comité de la Voie Sacrée et de la Voie de la Liberté" with the support of athletes from the Ministry of the Interior's sports association, lasts three days and two nights.
In Quincy-Voisins, the flame made a stop on Friday, October 30, around 5:15 PM. The ceremony took place in front of the War Memorial, attended by the Mayor, elected officials, the Veterans Association, and residents.
