The City of Bagnolet was informed on Monday, September 28, by the services of the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis of water contamination at Politzer College, following the transmission of a microbiological analysis report. Discussions have been initiated with departmental services to understand the situation, monitor implemented measures, and ensure the reception conditions for students and staff are considered.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 29, the mayor of Bagnolet, Édouard Denouel, accompanied by Frédéric Gabin, deputy mayor for education, visited the site to offer support to the entire educational community. This Wednesday, September 30, the Mayor conferred with Stéphane Troussel, president of the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis, to ensure all necessary measures are implemented as quickly as possible.
Édouard Denouel also requested that all available technical and health information be communicated to the City, to allow for careful monitoring of the situation and to ensure that students and staff can be welcomed and carry out their activities under the best conditions.
While the responsibility lies with the Department, currently available analyses indicate that schools and public establishments under the jurisdiction of the City of Bagnolet are not affected by this situation. Furthermore, no anomalies have been reported on the neighborhood's water network, according to the Public Water and Sanitation Authority of Est Ensemble.
The City of Bagnolet remains fully mobilized and in contact with the competent authorities to monitor the evolution of the situation at Politzer College. The City will keep residents informed of any new developments via the municipality's and the mayor's social media channels.
