The City of Montreuil, in partnership with Est Ensemble Habitat, is launching a call for expressions of interest for the allocation of professional artist studios located at 8 rue Adrienne Maire, in the La Noue - Clos-Français district. Delivery is scheduled for January 2027.

This call is aimed at professional artists, individually or in collectives, practicing in disciplines such as painting, photography, ceramics, engraving, visual arts, illustration, graphic design, or fashion creation. Candidates must demonstrate regular professional artistic practice, not already hold an incompatible studio, and have no rental arrears with Est Ensemble Habitat. Collective applications are accepted if they present a common and coherent artistic project.
A selection committee, comprising representatives from Est Ensemble Habitat, the City of Montreuil, and Est Ensemble, will review the applications. Evaluation criteria include the quality and coherence of the artistic project, its suitability for the site, its technical feasibility, its economic sustainability in relation to the envisaged rent, and the territorial anchoring of the artistic practice. Particular attention will be given to artists residing in Montreuil or developing projects linked to local cultural stakeholders.
Application files must include a valid identity document, proof of professional artistic activity, a signed declaration of honor, an artistic intention note (maximum eight pages), a portfolio of recent works, and an artistic curriculum vitae. Technical needs for the studio and income from artistic activity must also be specified to assess project viability against the rent.
The provisional calendar indicates the launch of the call on October 16, 2026, with a deadline for applications on November 13, 2026. Review and selection will take place in December 2026, with studio delivery and contracting in January 2027.
