The Global Education Plan (PEG) for Saint-Denis is a strategic tool designed to organize education for young people aged 0 to 25 within the territory. It brings together various local educational stakeholders around defined objectives and actions. Following its first edition from 2022 to 2026, the municipality is preparing the next iteration, set to begin in early 2027 and span five years.
Initiatives such as the free canteen, training for education professionals, and programs for learning to swim and learning to cycle are integral parts of the PEG. For the 2026 school year, new actions are planned. CM1 students will benefit from an artistic and cultural education program of at least 6 hours, including visits to the Gérard-Philipe Theatre, guided tours at the Paul-Eluard Museum, or workshops at the archaeology unit. CE2 students will participate in workshops on sustainable development, led by Plaine Commune.
Family involvement is crucial for defining the educational needs of the 0-25 age group and improving existing programs. Consultation groups, comprising city staff, middle schoolers, high schoolers, children from leisure centers, associations, and parents, are being formed. Parents of students are specifically invited to participate in these discussions to identify priorities, such as the inclusion of children with disabilities, the link between school and extracurricular time, career guidance, and the development of cultural practices.
To contribute, residents are encouraged to complete an online questionnaire by November 8, 2026. Meetings with city teams are also scheduled to share experiences, needs, and aspirations. These exchanges will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Franc-Moisin neighborhood center (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) and the Floréal neighborhood center (2 p.m.-4 p.m.); on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the La Plaine neighborhood center (1 p.m.-3 p.m.) and the Maroc-Châtenay-Poètes social and cultural center (5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.); and on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Romain-Rolland neighborhood center (4 p.m.-6 p.m.).
