The city of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine launched a call for artists to transform two public palisades. Winner Jule Heintzelmann, a graduate of Beaux-Arts de Paris, will create a poetic composition that blurs the perception of boundaries.

A call for applications was launched in 2025 for young artists from the Beaux-Arts de Paris to create a moment of poetry in public space. Two palisades near the town hall and media library, at 20 avenue Victor Hugo (1500 m²) and 20 avenue Gabriel Péri (30m²), will be transformed.
The selected artist is Jule Heintzelmann, with a composition titled Ce qui traverse (What Crosses). She proposes to "visually transform the sheet metal into a light, luminous, and almost translucent material. Through painting, the surfaces seem to absorb and extend their environment, between light, color, and landscape, thus blurring the perception of their materiality. The palisade is no longer just a limit: it becomes an open space, leaving room for imagination and dreams."
This operation is part of the partnerships between the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the City of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, aiming to increase the school's visibility in the Audonien territory, where it has had a second site since 2008, which is set to expand.
