The Intercommunal Mission Locale (MLI) of Tremblay-en-France organized an event to help young people aged 16 to 30, who are without options after high school, find professional prospects.
For the back-to-school period, the MLI, in collaboration with the municipal service for Attractiveness and Local Development, offered a concrete pathway for young people aged 16 to 30 seeking employment or an apprenticeship. Participants visited several local structures such as the Boutique club emploi, France Travail, the Agence locale d’insertion, and the Angela Davis space of the Municipal Office of Youth, meeting employers, training organizations, and integration professionals.
'Many young people are not familiar with our integration structures. The idea is to introduce them to local partners and the means to be supported in their efforts,' explains Samir Kokos, director of the MLI. This second edition aims to expand the network of partners and facilitate initial contacts through proximity, thereby transforming periods of uncertainty into new opportunities.
Bernard Leymarie, President of the MLI and Deputy Mayor for Employment and Integration, welcomes this initiative: 'For two years now, the Intercommunal Mission Locale has been developing original initiatives to reach out to young people, support them, and guide them in their search for employment, an apprenticeship, or training.'
At the Angela Davis space, companies like Extime Food & Beverage Paris, which employs 1,500 people between Paris-CDG and Orly, presented concrete opportunities in airport catering. 'Paris-CDG airport is an extraordinary employment hub for the region. We met interesting profiles, with potential hires or apprenticeships,' highlights Ali Ramdani, Head of Productions.
City One is also looking for animators to assist children traveling alone with the Junior & Cie service of the SNCF. 'These missions, offered during school holidays, allow young people to gain initial experience while continuing their studies. We appreciated meeting motivated, curious young people ready to invest themselves,' confides Ervé Colombani, Head of Recruitment.
“
"I saw ads and discovered several companies. It was interesting to find all the employment-dedicated structures within a small radius."
“
"I met companies and training centers, dropped off my CV, and got contacts. I also had the chance to talk with France Travail and my advisor. It was not a waste of time!"
“
"Parcoursup is complicated. I wanted to meet companies, have interviews, and especially secure an apprenticeship. That's my goal."
“
"With my association Les Chemins du possible, I want to help young people discover paths of excellence and access higher education. They need to be able to make their own choices and not feel alone when facing Parcoursup."
