The Rosa Bonheur House of Plastic Arts in Chevilly-Larue is launching a call for applications for a territorial residency focused on « Artistic Forms, Democratic Spaces, and Citizen Participation ».

The objective is to invite an artist or a collective in visual and plastic arts to immerse themselves for several weeks in the heart of the neighborhoods to reinvent, through the prism of creation, the dialogue between residents, elected officials, and public space. This initiative aims to use plastic arts as a universal language to express everyone's usage expertise.
The municipality of Chevilly-Larue, drawing on its historical roots in popular education, wishes to place cultural experimentation at the heart of public debate. The selected project will involve deploying off-site workshops, particularly in markets and public squares, to reach all audiences, including those traditionally distant from public meetings.
The artist's missions will include developing sensitive territorial mappings, plastic reappropriations of voting tools, and collaborative micro-architectures, with the aim of liberating citizen discourse.
In line with the theme, the selection process will be innovative: a mixed jury, composed of randomly selected residents or members of neighborhood committees alongside cultural professionals and local elected officials, will evaluate the applications. This citizen jury will allow residents to actively participate in choosing the artists for this residency.
