The Paris Est Marne & Bois inter-municipal authority is resuming its plant chipping operations in three towns within the department, offering residents a free service to transform their green waste into a valuable garden resource.

Before winter sets in, Paris Est Marne & Bois is offering a way to turn your plant waste into a useful resource for your garden. Chipping operations at waste disposal centers are returning and intensifying, with three dates planned in different towns.
The process is straightforward: bring your branches from pruning hedges, trees, and shrubs, with a maximum diameter of 5 cm. Please note that conifers, piles of leaves, grass clippings, stakes, or wire are not accepted.
After a waiting period of about 10 minutes for the vegetation to be reduced, participants are encouraged to share tips and advice on mulching and composting. They then leave with their ready-to-use wood chips to protect their gardens from the cold.
This free service is exclusively for residents and does not require an appointment. It is advisable to bring your own containers, such as large bags or crates, to collect the wood chips.
