As part of the national Pink October campaign, the City of Mandres-les-Roses is mobilizing to raise awareness for breast cancer screening and support the fight against the disease. A weekend dedicated to solidarity, sports, and conviviality is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th. All funds collected during the events will be donated to the Ligue contre le cancer du Val-de-Marne.
On Saturday, October 10th, Parc Beauséjour will host a Color Run from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, organized by the association Les Bout’choux. This fun event is open to everyone, featuring playful races and obstacles. It is recommended to wear a white T-shirt and protective eyewear.
On Sunday, October 11th, the Ferme de Monsieur will be the venue for a day of activities from 9 AM to 2 PM. The morning will begin at 9:30 AM with a Zumba warm-up led by 123 Zumba, followed by the start of the solidarity walk at 10 AM. This 5 km walk, organized by Tonus Gymnastique, is accessible to all, with a participation fee of €5 per person and free for children.
Throughout Sunday, various activities will be offered: an introduction to padel with TCFM (€5 participation per person), a flashmob with Jamm Danse to be filmed for the City's social media, and raffles with prizes from Mandri’Patch (a patchwork bag) and AMAP (two gift baskets of local products). Mandri’Patch will also offer crocheted pink ribbons.
A creative workshop for children will be held at the salle Pierre Nicol by Le Coin des Loustics, focusing on a collective mural that will be exhibited during October. A photo workshop will also be provided by AFCM. A stand for prevention and information on breast cancer will be present.
The call is to see life in pink: wearing a pink accessory or clothing is encouraged to make this Sunday a true pink wave in Mandres-les-Roses.
