In response to the strong winds forecast by Météo-France, the town of Saint-Mandé has issued an orange alert and decided to close the Alexandra David-Néel garden.

According to Météo-France forecasts, wind gusts are already reaching 70 to 90 km/h this morning and could strengthen by midday. The peak of the episode is expected between midday and mid-afternoon, with gusts locally reaching 90 to 100 km/h, or even higher in very isolated cases.
These strong winds can cause branches and trees to fall, as well as disruptions to travel. As a precautionary measure, the Alexandra David-Néel garden will be closed to the public on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October.
The municipality advises residents to take safety precautions: bring inside or secure objects likely to be carried away by the wind, such as garden furniture or flower pots, secure balconies, terraces, and gardens, avoid walking in forests and stay away from trees. It is also recommended to limit travel, be particularly careful when driving, and anticipate potential transport disruptions.
As the meteorological situation may evolve, it is advisable to stay informed by regularly consulting the Météo-France vigilance map.
