The Place du Marché and the adjacent park in La Queue-lez-Yvelines hosted the very first edition of La Guinguette des Moulins, attracting a large crowd from all generations. This festive and popular event was hailed as a great success.
The afternoon began at 2:30 PM with a back-to-school carnival parade, accompanied by an accordionist. The procession made a welcome stop at the ÉHPAD de la Maréchalerie, offering a moment of intergenerational exchange that delighted both seniors and younger attendees. A photo booth set up for the occasion also proved very popular.
From 4:00 PM, the park behind the market square transformed into a giant playground thanks to the Ludomobile from L'Usine à Chapeaux. Simultaneously, nine teams competed in a friendly pétanque tournament.
Starting at 6:00 PM, the band Groovin’ Odyssey took the stage to liven up the market square, followed by a lively performance from a solo saxophonist. On the food front, six food trucks offering a variety of specialties were a hit throughout the evening.
The day concluded with a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the night sky, beautifully closing this first Guinguette des Moulins.
The municipality thanked the teams, volunteers, service providers, artists, and the residents of La Queue-lez-Yvelines for their participation and good spirits, promising more shared moments soon.
