As the Duo Day on November 19 approaches, a professional from Rambouillet shares their experience of including people with disabilities in the workplace.

With the Duo Day approaching on Thursday, November 19, a professional from Rambouillet shares their experience with this national initiative. The Duo Day offers a day of unpaid work experience, bringing together a person with a disability and a professional who welcomes them into their work environment.
In 2025, Bricorama Rambouillet had already hosted workers from the ESAT Le Chêne. For Raphaël Arrouet, Director, this day fosters awareness of disability-related challenges and highlights the strengths of the individuals received, such as their rigor and commitment, challenging prejudices. This initiative complements the training all employees receive for welcoming people with disabilities. It benefits everyone: opening the team to diversity and boosting the confidence of those with disabilities.
The Duo Day also led to a new partnership with the ESAT for services related to future store redevelopment projects.
Since 2018, the Duo Day has facilitated this encounter annually. The initiative, part of the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities, helps individuals with disabilities clarify their professional integration plans and changes perceptions by showcasing their skills and abilities. For employers, it's an opportunity to discover new talent and embrace diversity.
The event's popularity is growing, with 15,288 French companies participating in the previous edition. Since 2022, the city of Rambouillet has been actively involved, guiding people with disabilities towards partner local businesses. This commitment aligns with the municipality's focus on disability issues, particularly through its Consultative Commission for Accessibility and Disability.
