Behind the 698 students in Saint-Rémy's schools, from nurseries to leisure centers, numerous professionals and adapted systems are mobilized to support children and young people throughout the year.
Regarding early childhood, the municipality offers 187 places: 113 nursery places (69 managed by the City and 44 in private structures) and 74 places with 22 independent childminders. In the spring, 42 applications were on the waiting list, and 28 places were allocated.
For schools, 698 students returned to kindergarten and elementary schools, spread across 30 classes. This school year sees 2 class openings and 1 closure. Daily, 35 teachers and 7 ATSEM (teaching assistants) are mobilized. 67 children are starting kindergarten for the first time, and 37 are discovering a Saint-Rémy school for the first time.
The leisure centers have 21 animators for before and after-school care and holidays, providing 190 places: 140 at L'Envol and 50 at Jacques-Liauzun.
Finally, for youth services, 3 animators work during before and after-school hours, and 4 during holidays, with a capacity of 40 places for drop-in access.
