On the occasion of Pink October, the Town of Triel is mobilizing. An event is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, from 12 PM to 5 PM, at Place Philippe Prévost, for a convivial moment focused on solidarity and breast cancer screening awareness.
The day's program will include a conference-debate titled "Breast Cancers: The Importance of Screening" from 1 PM to 2 PM, led by Dr. Philippe Dompeyre, a general practitioner and founding president of the association "Aidons la Recherche". From 2 PM to 3 PM, Dr. Florence Bontemps from the Maison de Santé de Triel will lead a discussion stand on the advantages and disadvantages of systematic breast cancer screening.
Sports activities will also be offered, including table tennis from 2 PM to 5 PM, organized by Triel Tennis de Table, as well as a self-service badminton area. Crêpes and goodies will be sold by the association Run en Seine to benefit the "Esprit Colibri" association.
The association Dragon Ladies, composed mainly of women who have undergone breast cancer surgery, will provide advice for post-cancer recovery. Additionally, the "Aidons à la recherche" association will be selling treats to support and raise funds for medical research.
Donation boxes will be available at participating shops. The event calls for collective mobilization in the fight against breast cancer. Online donations can be made via www.octobrerose.jecollecte.curie.fr.
Entry is free, and food will be available on site.
