In the telecommunications and IT sector, technical expertise alone is no longer sufficient. To meet the challenges of digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, and data management, future engineers must combine technological expertise with intercultural agility and leadership. It is with this objective that Télécom SudParis actively participates in the Erasmus+ program.
The school ensures that 100% of its students undertake an international experience, whether it's an internship of at least two months, an academic semester, or a double degree. This European mobility serves as a major stepping stone to the job market. Academically, the program guarantees full recognition of ECTS credits and exposes students to different teaching methodologies and work cultures.
« A stay abroad allows students to discover how engineers work outside of France, their management methods, and their approach to teamwork. It accelerates autonomy, open-mindedness, and employability, » highlights Elisa CRESPO, Head of International Relations Development at Télécom SudParis. Among the popular destinations for students are Spain and Scandinavian countries such as Sweden and Denmark. The school has recently expanded its European academic network, signing an agreement with Dublin City University in Ireland and fostering ties with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
To overcome financial and logistical barriers to mobility, Télécom SudParis implements a comprehensive support policy. Every international mobility applicant can receive an Erasmus+ grant, the allocation of which depends on the budget provided by the European Commission. To ensure equitable access, the initiative includes: a financial boost for scholarship students (inclusion component), the « Green Erasmus » package for those who choose eco-responsible transport like trains or buses, and personalized support such as prior validation of course plans (Learning Agreements), administrative assistance, and a Buddy Program for easier integration.
The highlight of the Erasmus Days on campus is scheduled for October 15, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM in the Amphi Étoile. This interactive event will feature testimonials from students who have completed their mobility and international students currently hosted on campus, as well as alumni sharing the impact of their European immersion on their professional paths. Workshops will also provide information on application procedures and necessary steps, including language requirements (level B2) and mandatory insurance.
