The Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre territory has launched a public consultation for its 2026-2031 Local Household and Similar Waste Prevention Program (PLPDMA), aiming for a 9% reduction in waste.

The Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre has set quantified objectives to further reduce household waste in its territory through its Local Household and Similar Waste Prevention Programs (PLPDMA). The urban community invites citizens to submit their proposals for the 2026-2031 edition before its validation.
The principle is simple: the best waste is the waste that is not produced. The PLPDMA is a mandatory framework document that establishes an action plan with precise objectives to decrease household waste generation.
The assessment of the first PLPDMA (2019-2025) shows encouraging results, with a reduction of over 7% in emitted waste over 6 years. This decrease was achieved by encouraging residents to sort better, compost, visit recycling centers, donate rather than discard, and combat food waste.
To go further and achieve a total reduction of 15% by 2030, the new PLPDMA aims for an additional 9% reduction in waste produced in the territory between 2026 and 2031. To support residents in this effort, the territory commits to conducting and supporting large-scale local actions in collaboration with territorial stakeholders.
Every resident can contribute. It is possible to review the draft PLPDMA 2026-2031 and submit suggestions before October 18, 2026. After this date, the Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre teams will study and integrate the most relevant comments and the most innovative and feasible suggestions before official validation and publication at the end of 2026.
