École Polytechnique is preparing to welcome the public for the Science Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event will highlight the national theme 'Savvy Flavors', offering an immersion into the world of science through food.
The program includes over 15 experimentation stands, laboratory tours, conferences, and two scientific escape games. Visitors can discover, for instance, what a microscope reveals about our plates, the role of chemistry and physics in our diet, and how to adopt responsible eating habits in a changing climate.
This day will be an opportunity to interact directly with scientists, discover their work, and get a glimpse into the daily life of a researcher. The full program is available online.
The Science Festival will take place at École Polytechnique, in the BEM building, starting at 1:30 PM. Access will be available from the Cour des Cérémonies parking and via public transport, notably RER B Lozère and buses 4606, 4614, 5154.
For laboratory tours, a time slot reservation will be required on-site starting at 1:30 PM at a dedicated stand where wristbands will be distributed. Places are limited and will be allocated quickly.
