The SyAGE received the 2026 Public Building Prize, awarded by the Seine-Normandie Water Agency, during a steering committee meeting on the 'Quality of Seine and Marne Waters' held in Paris on November 3rd.

This distinction, presented as part of the 'Well-Connected Buildings, Healthy Rivers' award, recognizes an initiative launched four years ago. SyAGE assists local municipalities in bringing their public building sanitation systems into compliance through a project management support agreement.
This support includes assistance in preparing grant applications to the AESN and guidance on necessary work. The buildings involved, such as schools, libraries, town halls, and sports facilities, are diverse and can be potential sources of pollution.
To date, 8 municipalities have benefited from this support for work on 17 public buildings, 11 of which are already compliant. This mission directly contributes to reducing wastewater discharge into rainwater networks, thus preventing untreated release into rivers.
“

"This award primarily rewards collective work, carried out by SyAGE agents alongside the municipalities for several years. It highlights the importance of this local support and the mobilization of all stakeholders to improve water quality."
