For this inaugural edition, held during the All Saints' Day holidays, the town hall implemented an unprecedented initiative that included lunch and snacks. Despite the cancellation of Tuesday and Wednesday due to insufficient registrations, the momentum remained strong for the rest of the week, attracting over 15 enthusiastic young participants each day.
The program aimed to provide a wide range of complementary activities, fostering self-improvement, teamwork, and creative freedom. The week kicked off with a basketball workshop led by the Team Basket Morigny Étréchy, focusing on collective play and mutual support.
Monday afternoon was dedicated to creativity with a Graffiti Workshop guided by local artist Andy Cassayre. The teenagers created a magnificent mural on an electrical transformer station, a civic beautification project supported financially by Enedis.
On Thursday morning, a Karate initiation session by Okinawa Karaté Essonne Sud emphasized self-control, discipline, and respect for the opponent. In the afternoon, the association Coup d’théâtre offered theater workshops to encourage stage expression and self-confidence.
Friday morning featured Football with CSAP, allowing the youth to expend their energy despite strong winds from a storm, with the activity moving indoors to the gymnasium. The week concluded with a Retro gaming session hosted by the Ludothèque Lud'Attitude, exploring the history of video games and PEGI ratings.
The municipality expressed its sincere gratitude to the partners, associations, and facilitators: Team Basket Morigny Étréchy, Okinawa Karaté Essonne Sud, Coup d’théâtre, CSAP, Ludothèque Lud'Attitude, artist Andy Cassayre, and Enedis. Special thanks were also extended to the municipal staff and elected officials for their dedication and organization.
