The town of Villejust once again demonstrated its generosity during Pink October, breaking its donation record with €4,203 raised for the fight against breast cancer.

On the occasion of Pink October, Villejust mobilized to support the fight against breast cancer, setting a new donation record with €4,203 collected, surpassing previous editions.
On Saturday, October 3rd, under sunny skies, Mayor Igor Trickovski, accompanied by Sylvie Murawa-Durand, president of the Ligue contre le cancer de l'Essonne, kicked off the solidarity relay. This sporting and solidarity event saw the participation of many walkers and runners. In just two hours, 2,200 laps were completed, breaking the record of previous editions. For each lap completed, the Town Hall donated 1 euro to the Ligue contre le cancer.
The afternoon continued with a solidarity lottery held in a friendly atmosphere, where numerous prizes were distributed. The objective was twofold: to raise more funds while offering participants a fun and convivial moment. A refreshment stand and tombola also helped collect funds as part of Septembre en Or (September in Gold), benefiting Gustave Roussy and the fight against childhood cancers.
The town warmly thanks all participants, walkers, runners, players, associations, and partners for their mobilization. All funds raised will be donated to the Ligue contre le cancer.
