For several months, the municipality of Bourg-la-Reine is participating in an experiment to facilitate the collection of used textiles. This new, free service will be carried out door-to-door by appointment, complementing the existing collection bins and the Verrières-le-Buisson waste disposal center.
It is specified that the collection agent will not enter private residences. Residents will need to bring their bags to the foot of their building, on the nearest accessible vehicle route, after being notified and providing the validation code for the appointment.
All types of clothing, as well as household and furnishing linen such as sheets, blankets, duvets, tablecloths, and curtains, are accepted. Shoes, tied in pairs, are also included. Textiles must be clean, dry, and placed in closed bags of a maximum of 50 liters, with no more than 5 bags per appointment.
Following this test phase, the system may be made permanent, with possible adjustments.
Appointments can be made online at valleesud.fr, in the waste management section / Vallée Sud Recycle, or by phone at 08 00 02 92 92. Available slots are from Tuesday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., with time slots of 7-9 a.m., 9-11 a.m., and 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
