A novel concept has launched in Clichy with the opening of Arkadia, a bar and shop specializing in board games. Situated on Rue de Neuilly, in premises acquired by the city and supported by municipal services, this new establishment caters to all audiences, from beginners to experienced players.
Arthur Benon, founder and manager, a trained engineer who has transitioned careers, aimed to create a space that fosters human connection and the joy of gaming. He highlights the growing popularity of physical and social board games, emphasizing their intergenerational and intercultural appeal. "Every human being has a player in them, and we have a game for everyone!" he states.
Visitors can play games freely on-site, but Arkadia also offers a website with a monthly subscription system for reduced or unlimited access. It's also possible to reserve game sessions to meet other players and consult events and the game library. The bar also features role-playing games, with introductory sessions and full Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
Arkadia is open on Wednesdays from 10 am to 10 pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 2 pm to midnight, Saturdays from 10 am to midnight, and Sundays from 11 am to 8 pm. For more information, the phone number is 01 42 04 61 36.
