A unique artistic and human initiative is unfolding in Sèvres, bringing together residents of the EHPAD Jean-Rostand, children from the Bêta-Pi association, and students from the EDLC group. Supported by librarians, these intergenerational groups will reimagine the famous tale Le Petit Poucet, transforming it into a musical story.
This project, part of the Culture & Santé 2026 call for projects supported by the DRAC and ARS Île-de-France, aims to make artistic practice a space for encounter, expression, and transmission. Special attention will be given to the most discreet participants, ensuring everyone can contribute in their own way.
Guided by Frédéric Ernault (EHPAD animator), Karin Catala (General Director of the EDLC group), and participating artists, participants will explore theater, singing, and body expression. A collective textile mural will also be created, enhancing the final performance's set design.
The Sèvres media library, led by Cécile Ferraton-Roulleau, plays a central role by offering various written and audio versions of the tale, as well as thematic meetings to fuel participants' creativity.
A first preview of the work will be presented during the Nuits de la lecture (Reading Nights) in January 2027 at the media library, including a photographic exhibition. The final presentation is scheduled for April 2027 at the EHPAD Jean-Rostand, marking the culmination of an adventure that has forged bonds between generations.
