The Maison du Vélo initiative, led by Île-de-France Mobilités, is returning to Sèvres. Available one Wednesday per month from 2 PM to 6 PM on the Charles-de-Gaulle square, near the college, this program aims to promote cycling across Île-de-France.
In collaboration with the City of Sèvres, this service aims to assist residents in transitioning to more sustainable transport modes, democratize bicycle use for daily commutes, leisure, or sports, and raise awareness about best practices in safety, maintenance, and regulations.
Attendees can receive personalized advice on suitable routes, choosing a bicycle (classic, electric, cargo), and tips for safe riding. Practical workshops on basic repairs (puncture repair, brake adjustment) and theft prevention (Bike ID marking, secure locking advice) will also be offered.
Information on financial aid will be available, including subsidies for purchasing an electric bike (up to €500 under certain conditions), aid for electric conversion kits or cargo bikes, and current promotional offers on Vélib' subscriptions (V max or V plus) using the code RENTREE26.
The next dates in Sèvres are scheduled for Sunday, October 4 (exceptionally from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Saint-Romain market), Wednesday, October 7, Wednesday, November 4, and Wednesday, December 2.
