AgroParisTech and Télécom Paris have signed an agreement to establish a dual engineering degree. This initiative aims to train professionals capable of understanding life sciences and designing digital solutions tailored to the realities of the agricultural sector.
The four-year program will welcome its first students in autumn 2027, with an initial target of five to ten students per promotion and per institution.
In response to the transformations in agriculture (climate change adaptation, resource preservation, agroecological transition), this dual degree combines AgroParisTech's expertise in agronomy and life sciences with Télécom Paris's skills in digital sciences and technologies, particularly in artificial intelligence and connected systems.
Future graduates will be trained to articulate their knowledge, understand the production and interpretation of agricultural data, and communicate with specialists from both fields. For AgroParisTech students, this means deepening their digital science knowledge, while Télécom Paris students will gain skills in agronomy and environmental sciences.
The program is based on reciprocal mobility. Starting in autumn 2027, second-year students will join the partner institution. From 2028 onwards, a dedicated final year, jointly developed, will lead to the awarding of both engineering degrees.
Envisaged career paths include roles in research and development, project management for decision support tools, agricultural data scientists, or consultants in agroecological and digital analysis, meeting the needs of agricultural, agri-food companies, and research institutions.
Key milestones of the program include: opening in the 2027-2028 academic year, a four-year duration, targeted enrollment of five to ten students per promotion, and admission based on pre-selection followed by an interview.
