The La Chapelle center, set to open in January 2026, marks a significant step in the development of student life spaces at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. More than just a teaching facility, this ambitious site aims to be a living space designed to support students throughout their university journey.
At the heart of this new center, the Student Life Hub is established to provide close support and structure offerings tailored to student needs. Léo Angioletti, the Hub's referent, is now the designated contact for all non-academic questions, providing information on existing resources, directing students to appropriate services, and supporting the development of student initiatives.
'Students are obviously at the core of the project. What makes this work stimulating is that we also support life paths,' states Léo Angioletti. This support acknowledges the diversity of situations and expectations, whether related to associative engagement, personal projects, or needs concerning health, disability, or daily life.
The La Chapelle center prioritizes student life within its spaces, featuring areas for associations and event organization. This setup allows students to actively participate by proposing projects and contributing to the center's daily life. 'Each student arrives with their own story, needs, and expectations. Our role is to create the conditions for them to thrive fully during their studies.'
From its initial weeks of operation, a dynamic has emerged, driven by student engagement. Several students have already approached the Student Life Hub with ideas and a desire to get involved. A notable initiative includes a partnership with the club Paris Basketball, offering students preferential rates for certain matches. Further projects are underway to enhance the site's offerings.
