The new unit features 36 chairs and 8 individual rooms, with 4 rooms dedicated to pediatric patients and 4 for patients requiring isolation. Improved signage and a dedicated parking lot with over 20 spaces facilitate access.

Patients also become more active participants, potentially walking to the operating room instead of being transported on a stretcher, which helps demystify the procedure and preserve their autonomy.
