Despite nearly 7.9 million current beneficiaries, many individuals eligible for the Solidarity Health Complementary do not apply, often due to lack of awareness or believing they are not concerned. To address this non-enrollment issue, Health Insurance is launching an awareness campaign, relayed by the AP-HP to the general public and its professionals.
The Solidarity Health Complementary is a right granted based on household resources, supplementing reimbursements from Health Insurance. Depending on income, it can be provided without financial contribution or with a monthly fee between €8 and €30 per person.
Life events such as starting studies, beginning a new job, changes in income, family situation shifts, or retirement can open up eligibility or require re-evaluation. It is therefore recommended to regularly check one's rights, especially during these transitions.
The new Health Insurance campaign focuses on life situations and daily concerns with the key message: 'Think you can't afford health coverage? The Solidarity Health Complementary might be for you. Check if you're eligible.' The goal is to encourage potentially eligible individuals to perform a simulation and then submit an application.
To check eligibility, a dedicated page on ameli.fr offers a simulation tool via the Mes droits sociaux portal. If conditions are met, an online application can be submitted directly.
