The community of agglomeration council unanimously voted for an exceptional grant of €70,000 to support the Fondation du Patrimoine in restoring the emblematic forest, which was affected by fires this summer. This symbolic gesture of €1 per inhabitant aims to preserve this unique ecosystem in Europe, which is currently under threat. Concrete actions include diagnostics, security measures, renaturation, and prevention of future risks. Every donation is considered essential to protect the biodiversity, natural heritage, and attractiveness of the territory.
The 2025 Annual Activity Report of the Pays de Fontainebleau Agglomeration has been approved. This document ensures transparency regarding the competencies exercised, measures the effectiveness of undertaken actions, and outlines the future of the territory by highlighting objectives and projects.
The Council also presented the activity reports of organizations entrusted with specific missions: Véolia and SAUR, evaluated on the quality of essential public services such as drinking water and sanitation, as well as Pays de Fontainebleau tourisme, responsible for promoting the territory.
A renewed charter for the forest and its edges aims to combat illegal dumping. Thanks to the involvement of the agglomeration and the Smictom de la Région de Fontainebleau, local stakeholders are joining forces. Since 2018, the « Propreté en forêt et lisière » (Cleanliness in the forest and its edges) charter has led to a significant reduction in waste, from 28 tonnes in 2021 to an average of 9 tonnes over the last three years. The renewal of this charter for 3 years strengthens this collective dynamic.
The Global Territorial Convention 2026-2030, signed by the 26 municipalities and the agglomeration in partnership with the CAF (Family Allowance Fund), the National Education, and numerous local stakeholders, aims to strengthen services for families and improve the quality of life. Strong axes have been defined through collaborative workshops to meet diverse needs in early childhood, educational continuity, youth, disability, parenting, social life, access to rights, and housing.
