The municipality of Nemours has approved an exceptional grant of €3,000 to support the reconstruction of the Fontainebleau forest massif, 13% of which was ravaged by flames this summer.

In response to the consequences of the fire that destroyed 13% of the Fontainebleau forest this summer, the municipality of Nemours has decided to support the affected areas. An exceptional grant of €3,000 has been awarded to the Friends of the Forest of Fontainebleau association.
Founded in 1907, this association has been working for over a century to protect the forest. On Thursday, October 15th, Mayor Valérie Lacroute, accompanied by Patrick Gouret, deputy for ecological transition, living environment, and animal welfare, symbolically presented a check to Bertrand Dehelly, the association's president.
This emergency support fund was unanimously approved during the last Municipal Council meeting.
