The Prés-Brûlés gymnasium, aging and suffering from insufficient thermal insulation and water infiltration, no longer met the requirements for sports practice. Faced with these issues, an urgent renovation was initiated.
The work, commencing this autumn, includes a complete roof refurbishment and exterior insulation. The total cost of this ambitious project is estimated at approximately €1,700,000.
During the construction period, sports activities will continue. The basketball club is hosted at the Noyer-Perrot gymnasium, while students from La Boétie college are accommodated in various sports facilities within the commune. The renovated gymnasium is scheduled to reopen in summer 2027.
This renovation will significantly reduce the gymnasium's energy needs and associated greenhouse gas emissions. The project also prioritizes the use of bio-sourced insulation materials to minimize the environmental impact of the construction and improve the building's long-term performance.
To support this initiative, the City of Moissy-Cramayel is receiving a grant of €400,273 from the State under the 2026 Green Fund. Additional support is also provided by the Department through the Communal Action Fund.
